You dump the batch into the tray like in a shop roaster and open the rear door to the chaff collection chamber so cool air can be pulled through it. I just installed a M3s drum in my old Quest that had the heavy walled drum. My roaster now responds more rapidly so I am going to have to modify my roasting settings and habits. (Posted on 27/04/2017) - good roasterReview by seamad

I've been using mine for almost year now. Normally do 5 X 250g roasts back to back. Roast every 7-10 days, must be lucky that I'm still alive !Rating
I have 2 probes for ET and BT and use roast logger with an arduino box.
The thing is built like a tank and has no proprietary parts so repairs would be easy if required. I purchased 2 spare elements with the original to save on postage.
I have never had a behmor so can't compare the two.
My 250g roasts take on average 15 minutes, and by the time I've dumped the beans into the cooler and emptied the chaff collector I'm ready to roll again. Changing ramp speeds / profiles etc is very simple. (Posted on 20/07/2016)
